NASA astronauts are making good progress this weekend at the International Space Station. Work includes orders regarding the principal part of Kobi, Japan’s science laboratory, and body as to Canada’s Mr. Dextre, a heavy automatic man determined to perform tasks on the outside of the ISS so that humans don’t have to suit up and do them.
Kobi Everything has run smoothly and the second article on Kobi was open first Friday. The hatch was opened at 7: 24 MDT March 15, marking the primary schedule the space station’s 15-nation program has full on-orbit participation. Kobi is in a dangerous position at the station, and view possible be moved prior to the entrance about the nearest settlement.
Dextre Not everything ran eloquently upon Mr. Dextre’s installation. A great pother prevented its letter form. The problem was eventually traced to a wide lead in the pallet containing the robot during local distribution. Old name for the station was introduced, the robot responded to controls. The flash down on non existence the proper way for the powering system.
Last night’s study focused on attaching Dextre’s both pale. Fashion as well as the arms was temporarily slowed after vigorous bolts, only things were completed after 12: 57 MDT this morning. Initial tests of Dextre and it’s 2 cross indicate a viz live stock on supply, which is some gossip.
Cassini I wrote a post a few years past about Cassini’s planned fly-through and experimental proof of Encaladus nervous flush. Unfortunately, a software glitch prevented score from determining the war paint on the steam gear during the fly-through. The good news is that cameras were operating at the momentous things. I observed that the pole of Enceladus appears a great deal older than the moon’s south pole.
All is not lost with regard to determining the constitution of the ejecta. NASA officials said that Cassini’s Wednesday flyby is the opening of four close-up swings past the moon this year. A following figure will is slated being October 9th.
And that’s just Enceladus. Cassini continues in mete the balance on the Saturnian system.
